Have you had enough? I have!

I was sitting in my office last November watching this whole healthcare proposal take form in ways I never imagined and that were never intended by our Founding Fathers. It offended my intelligence. I was listening to campaign promises that were made, being broken almost daily. This was not the change people were expecting. For years I have been busy raising my children and trying to run a business and have stood by as our values in America continued to slip away. Doesn’t anyone tell the truth anymore? Doesn’t anyone keep their promises?

Every year as I sit and watch initiatives being passed and officials getting elected I think “that won’t be so bad.” Well, what is the best way to eat an elephant? Obviously, not in one sitting; if you take a few bites and walk away and every time you pass by you take a few more bites, eventually you will have eaten the entire elephant. That is exactly what has happened for the past several decades. Many of us have allowed the demands of everyday life to get in the way of what is happening to our state and to our country. Every year we think these little hits on our morals and values won’t be so bad until, like me, we wake up one day and no longer recognize America. Ever since Ronald Reagan left California to become President, we have allowed the worlds’ seventh largest economy to get run into the ground by our politicians. I am also sick and tired of my great state being represented by San Francisco and Hollywood with their “progressive” beliefs.

After watching how the senate passed health care reform on “Black Sunday,” I am personally revolted by the corruption that took place to get “Obamacare” done. It is embarrassing to call this an American process. Washington should be ashamed, but they are not. Back room deals, bribery, coercion, intimidation, and I am sure other unethical practices were used to pass this legislation, which most Americans did not want. Yes, we wanted reform, but not like this. Yes, we need reform, but we don’t need this. The United States Congress and the President of OUR country chose not to listen to the majority and went on at great length and with pompous ceremony to pat themselves on the back for this piece of completely partisan legislation and continue to boast about it as being the greatest law ever passed. Really? Enough is enough!

I decided that day in November that I can no longer sit back and hope for the best as I watch the worst continue to happen. I can not with good conscious hand down to my children and grandchildren what our politicians are delivering to us in this once great country. As a parent and a patriotic citizen I cannot keep hoping someone else will change the future for my family only to be let down year after year. How will we answer to our children and our grandchildren when they ask us “What did you do to stop the insanity?” “Why did you allow this to happen?”

The only thing to do was to take action, massive action! I met with a couple of close friends and discussed my disappointments and they too had had enough. We have now formulated what we intend to become the nations largest congregation of like minded conservative people, so that our elected officials will once again understand that they represent us, not themselves, not their own personal agenda, and not special interest groups, such as the unions and trial lawyers who will continue to benefit wildly from “Obamacare.”

Our goal is a four part action plan and you can get involved at any level.

• By becoming a member you will be able to go online to our website and see what legislation or candidate you are interested in. You will have access to a sample ballot and can simply go right down the list and mark your intentions next to each issue, print it out and take it with you on voting day.
• The second part of this tool is going to be our largest expense and the service we will provide is underway. We will be providing assessments of initiatives and legislation so that you can clearly see how it will affect your future. We will be looking at campaign promises made and kept, voting records of the candidates and how it affected your state or our country. We will describe in plain english exactly what the issue is. Often these initiatives and pending laws are written purposely to be confusing. You will also receive weekly emails and a monthly newsletter updating and educating you about upcoming legislation, officials and where they stand. We currently have some elected officials on board as well as local radio and talk show hosts. Funding will determine how soon all of this data can be presented.
• We are going to have events. Our goal is to eventually fill up as many stadiums in California as we can to provide you, the constituent and the voter, direct access to the candidates. We want to show San Francisco and Hollywood who is really in charge of this state and that their liberal agendas will not be tolerated any longer! We will eventually be spreading nationwide as the movement grows.
• Our ultimate goal is to turn California’s 54 electoral votes back to a conservative candidate. First order of business is to get Barbara Boxer out of office in 2010, and advance to take on Dianne Feinstein in 2012. We will pursue the 2016 elections with dedication and numbers!

We will NOT be telling you who to vote for, that is YOUR decision. We will however provide you with easy access to the news and information needed to make an informed voting decision affecting your future and that of your children. We believe the vast majority of Americans remain fiscally conservative and believe in the values that made this country great!

Whether you are a registered Democrat, Independent, or Republican, we can agree that things have mushroomed out of control and need to be changed. That is our goal, for all conservatives to join forces, become informed, and gain the majority again. We will be an organized movement in America. We want to represent the majority of patriotic Americans who believe the Constitution is our foundation, not the current “progressive government” and its personal agenda.

Now for anyone that understands what a sizeable project we are proposing, I am fully aware of what it is going to take which is why I’m asking for your participation. We did not get here overnight nor will we turn the liberal politicians out by next week. This is going to take a committed effort by all those involved for months and years to come.

We have already brought in several individuals who will be guiding our growth. Their familiarity with the political system and what it will take to realize our goals will advance our cause. We will begin hosting some local meetings and build from there. We will be involved with large email campaigns and the use of other technological tools to reach far and wide. Please do not sit back and hit DELETE. If you truly care about your country and especially care about the legacy you leave your children, then please take immediate action and join us, support us, and spread the word. GET INVOLVED! You can participate at many levels. Please give as much as you can, we need your support. We will also be asking for volunteers who can donate one hour a day, one hour a week, one day a week, one day a month, or even just a few bucks. There will be many opportunities available to you which will be explained under the “volunteer” section of the website. We are going to be looking for volunteers to help canvas our city and state and get our message out. We will be contacting large groups and setting up booths at colleges, we will be sitting in front of stores and at malls, and we will be going to every length to get our mission accomplished.

It’s easy to sit back and think your one vote won’t matter. What can I do as an individual to change anything? That is exactly why we have created Take Back Our Country. You can now join forces with a movement to take back America from the liberal spend and tax proponents.
